COMMUS SAS under the control of ARSP inspectors

At the head of a strong delegation of subcontractors, the Director General of ARSP, Miguel Kashal, carried out a raid on the facilities of the company COMMUS SAS located in the province of Lualaba. Here, he deplored the conditions in which this mining company operates on the issue of subcontracting.
During the visit, Miguel Kashal made several observations on the case of COMMUS, a company with Chinese capital, in order to realize the vision of the Head of State on the emergence of the true middle class through subcontracting.

According to the first observations noted on site, the observation is “very distressing because the non-compliance with the law on subcontracting is highlighted from the start of the investigations”.

In the COMMUS database, there is no access to important Congolese contracts. A situation that Lualaba’s subcontractors deplore.

“It was important that the Director General of the ARSP was able to make the observation himself, because sometimes when we talk about it no one believes it.

Fortunately the truth was brought to light and we could see that companies are locked down so as not to have access. And even when you ask to make the supply, it is difficult on their “supplier” accounts, there is no registered subcontractor. This control mission will really bear fruit as it allows you to unlock certain things. », exclaimed a local entrepreneur.

Miguel Kashal Katemb promised to rigorously monitor COMMUS SAS.

“We found that the circuit is very locked here and we left recommendations. We are going to enforce the law of subcontracting, as desired by the Head of State to ensure the economic independence of our country, and the Head of State is writing a new page in the economic history of our country. », insisted the number one of the ARSP.

Before the company COMMUS SAS, several large mining companies established in the province of Lualaba were placed under the control of ARSP inspectors who verify compliance with the rules of subcontracting in force in the DRC. This is the case of Tenke Fungurume Mining, Kamoa, and KCC.
