Copper 360 Reports High-Grade Copper Intersections and Exciting New Discoveries
Copper 360, a prominent mining company, has released drilling results that confirm the presence of high-grade copper intersections at its Rietberg copper mine. Furthermore, initial sampling has unveiled a new deposit of high-grade copper on the mine’s surface, marking a significant discovery.
The recent exploration efforts focused on drilling four core boreholes near historical ones, successfully validating the copper values and widths recorded in the past.
Particularly noteworthy were the findings from boreholes RB360-3 and RB360-4, which revealed copper grades of 2.97% over 22.27 meters and 3.57% over 6.66 meters, respectively.
These results have not only verified the company’s existing drill hole database but also substantiated the inferred copper resource at the Rietberg mine.
In addition to the successful drilling campaign, Copper 360 made an exciting breakthrough at its Wheal Julia site through a surface channel sampling initiative.
The company discovered a copper oxide capping on the surface, stretching 150 meters wide by 100 meters long and remaining open to depth. The in situ average copper grade of this discovery stood at an impressive 5%, with individual values reaching as high as 8% to 10%.
Jan Nelson, the CEO of Copper 360, expressed his satisfaction with the drilling results at the Rietberg mine, as they confirmed the historical drillhole database and affirmed the accuracy of their mineralized copper zone modeling.
Nelson stated, “The magnitude of the copper mineralization is unparalleled, spanning a width of over 150 meters and a length of 200 meters, with a downward extension of more than 400 meters.
The in situ grades range from 2.5% to 3.5%. These substantial copper deposits can be effectively mined utilizing our pre-existing infrastructure.”
He further added, “We have now identified and delineated multiple copper mineralization targets through surface sampling, which were previously unknown.
This transformative discovery allows us to consider the development of several open pit deposits. Our geological team has been mobilized, and we are planning to conduct drilling in the upcoming months to explore these targets to their full depth and initiate the design of open pit mining operations.”
