The trend for the majority of the DRC’s mining export products is upward during this week from December 25 to 30, 2023, according to forecasts from the National Mercurial Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Trade.

Copper is still up this week at 8,451 USD per tonne against 8,261 USD per tonne the previous week, a positive price difference of 187 USD.

Zinc is also showing an upward trend this week at 2,579 USD per tonne against 2,409 USD per tonne last week, showing an increase of 130 USD.

Tin shows an improvement this week and is trading around 24,907 USD per tonne against 24,547 USD per tonne last week, an increase of 360 USD.

Likewise, gold is up this week at 65.43 USD per gram compared to 64.79 USD per gram the previous week, a positive price difference of 0.64 USD.

The other mining product on the rise is silver ore which is selling this week at 0.77 USD per gram compared to 0.76 USD per gram last week, an increase of 0.01 USD.

Among the products in decline, there is cobalt which is trading this week at 28,579 USD per tonne against 31,302 USD per tonne last week, a drop of 2723 USD. Tantalum is also down this week at 212.40 USD per kg against 213 USD per kg last week, a negative difference of 0.6 USD.
