DRC: An estimated amount of USD 51 million collected from oil companies by financial authorities

Revenue at An estimated 102,837.93 Million FC ( 51.418 million USD) was collected by the financial authorities from oil companies at the end of August 2020. This is according to a report provided by the Central Bank of Congo (BCC).

The General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) collected 52 944.15 million FC against 49 893.78 million FC for the General Directorate of Administrative and State Revenue (DGRAD).

For the month of August 2020 alone, the two agencies have mobilized 49,437.13 million FC and 49,893.78 million FC respectively for the DGI and for the DGRAD.

while at the end of July 2020, the Democratic Republic of the Congo produced 5.087 million barrels of crude oil.

The total revenues mobilized as of August 28, 2020 by the central government are of the order of 4,868,400.23 million FC (2.434 billion USD) against expenditure estimated at 5,191 820.70 million FC (2.595 billion USD), i.e. deficit balance of 323 420.47 million FC, according to the BCC.
