DRC: while copper shows a downward trend, cobalt and zinc are up in the week of July 26 to 31, 2021
The majority of the DRC’s export mining products show a downward price trend on the international market. Only cobalt and zinc are on the rise during this week from July 26 to 31, 2021, according to forecasts by the National Commission of Mercuriales of the DRC’s Ministry of Foreign Trade.
Cobalt is trading this week at $ 52,482.00 per tonne versus $ 50,458.00 per tonne last week, a positive price spread of $ 2,024.
The other mineral on the rise is zinc which trades at 2,938.60 USD per tonne against 2,926.70 USD per tonne last week, a positive price differential of 11.9 USD.
Likewise, tin at $ 33,014 per tonne, gold at 59.40 per gram and silver at $ 0.86 per gram are all down in the international market this week.
As for copper, it is down this week and around $ 9,298.10 per tonne against $ 9,333.60 per tonne during the week of July 19-24, 2021, a negative spread of -35.5 USD.
Tantalum remains stable this week around 237.00 USD, according to forecasts by the National Mercurial Commission.
