Zambia’s Energy Regulation Board Reduces Electricity Tariffs for Low-Income Households in 2023

Starting May 1st, 2023, low-income households consuming 100 units or less per month will benefit from a reduction in electricity tariffs, according to the Energy Regulation Board (ERB). Previously, these households would pay K47 for 100 units, but with this new adjustment, their expenditure will decrease to K40.

It is important to note that this tariff reduction will only be applicable for the year 2023.
