Expo Dubai 2020: the DRC remains the best destination for its mining and forestry assets and for its culture (Félix Tshisekedi)

The Democratic Republic of Congo remains the best destination for its mining and forestry assets and for its culture. This was declared by the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, who opened, on Tuesday March 22, 2022, the day reserved for the DRC at Expo Dubai 2020.

It was at midnight Doha time that the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Félix Tshisekedi, arrived with his wife in Dubai.

The Congolese Head of State invited the various investors, economic operators and other visitors to explore the opportunities offered by the DRC.

Before the arrival of the President of the Republic, the Congolese delegates had participated in the Business Forum on investment opportunities in several sectors including mining, agriculture, fishing, tourism, transport, etc.

For this important event, nine (9) members of the Government were dispatched to present the Democratic Republic of Congo to investors wishing to do business in the DRC.

Apart from the Congolese officials who made the trip from the United Arab Emirates, the Federation of DRC Companies (FEC) also sent its representatives.

A land of opportunities, the Democratic Republic of Congo has every interest in capitalizing on this business meeting to mobilize investors.

Started on October 1, 2021, this exhibition will run until March 31, 2022 in Dubai.

The theme of this Universal Exhibition is “Connecting Minds, Building the Future”.

Expo 2020 Dubai is the first universal exhibition ever organized in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region (MEASA zone).

The event brings together more than 200 participants, including countries, multilateral organizations, businesses and educational institutions.
