Ivanhoé Mines to publish its results for the 2nd quarter of 2023 on June 5
The mining company Ivanhoé Mines announces the publication of its results for the second quarter of the current year this Monday, June 5, 2023. This is indicated in a press release from the company made public on June 1, 2023.
According to the said press release, Ivanohé Mines’ activity report for the second quarter of 2023 will be punctuated by the progress of its three main projects in southern Africa.
These are the expansion of the Kamoa-Kakula copper complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); the construction of the Platreef palladium-nickel-platinum-rhodium-copper-gold project in South Africa; and the restart of the historic Kipushi ultra-high-grade zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
According to figures published on March 13, 2023 by Ivanhoé Mines, the direct participation of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the mining company is estimated at 20%.
It should be noted that in the fourth quarter of the mining company’s fiscal year ended December 31, 2022, Kamoa-Kakula sold 92,208 tonnes of payable copper for record quarterly revenue of $673 million and a record EBITDA of $451 million with a margin of 67%.
