Oscillate Secures Exclusive Agreement to Acquire High-Potential Copper-Silver Licences in Botswana
Oscillate to Acquire 17 Copper-Silver Licences in Botswana’s Kalahari Copper Belt Under Deal With Kalahari Copper
Copper and base metals developer Oscillate has signed a nonbinding heads of terms agreement with Kalahari Copper to acquire a subsidiary that holds a portfolio of copper and silver exploration licences in Botswana.
The proposed acquisition involves 17 tenements, known as the Dalsu prospects, located within the highly prospective Kalahari Copper Belt and the Bushman Lineament—regions recognized for their potential in hosting sedimentary copper deposits.
The transaction, which will be executed via a share purchase agreement, includes the transfer of 30% of Oscillate’s share capital to Kalahari Copper and a cash payment of £500,000.
Oscillate now enters an exclusivity period to complete due diligence and finalize binding agreements by September 30.
As part of the deal structure, Kalahari Copper will have the right to receive additional ordinary shares for nil consideration to maintain its 30% stake in Oscillate until the company uplists to a more senior stock exchange.
In addition, milestone-based payments will be made to Kalahari Copper upon the achievement of key project development goals, including:
The publication of a maiden mineral resource estimate,
Completion of a prefeasibility study (PFS), and
A final investment decision (FID) on the Dalsu prospects.
The Dalsu licence package offers Oscillate a clear pathway to 100% ownership of one of the largest and most strategically located tenement holdings in the Kalahari Copper Belt.
The tenements are adjacent to multiple producing mines, enhancing the project’s exploration and development potential.
Oscillate’s exploration focus targets underexplored basin margins and strike extensions of known copper deposits—areas considered ideal for sedimentary copper mineralization.
Exploration work already conducted on the licences includes:
Soil sampling,
Geophysical surveys, and
A drill campaign totaling 2,084 metres of reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling on the PL 232 cluster.
Notably, two holes intersected copper grades exceeding 1%, a promising indicator of the project’s mineral potential.
The Kalahari Copper Belt remains underexplored but is viewed by the U.S. Geological Survey as one of the world’s most promising regions for sediment-hosted copper deposits.
“We are excited to be in a period of exclusivity to finalize the acquisition of the Dalsu licences in Botswana,” said Oscillate CEO Robin Birchall.
“Exploration results from Kalahari Copper suggest elevated copper and silver mineralization, and the licences lie along strike from globally significant copper operations in a top-tier mining jurisdiction.”
“This is a pivotal opportunity for Oscillate as we continue to build out our copper and base metals strategy,” he added.
