Rome Resources Advances Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate at Bisie North in DRC

Aim-listed Rome Resources has commissioned consulting firm MSA Group to complete a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) for its Bisie North Project in North Kivu, eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The estimate will cover both the Kalayi and Mont Agoma prospects and will adhere to Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM) guidelines. MSA’s work includes generating 3D block models, incorporating grades, estimating tonnage, and assessing the potential for eventual economic extraction.

The results will be documented in a National Instrument (NI) 43-101 technical report, compliant with LSE Aim reporting standards. This follows a prior NI 43-101 report completed for Rome by MSA in 2024.

Rome stated that sufficient drilling data has now been collected to support detailed 3D mineralisation models for both prospects. The maiden MRE is expected to be completed by the end of June, with a summary to be released to the market and the full report available on the company’s website.

Currently, an intensive deep drilling campaign is underway at Mont Agoma, with three rigs targeting deeper tin mineralisation below the copper/zinc zones found closer to surface. The company expects to update the MRE following the receipt of new assay results from this program.

Rome also plans to issue an update on pre-assay drill results, with the first release expected upon completion of the next three holes in the coming days.

“With three rigs currently operating at Mont Agoma, we are making rapid progress in testing what we believe is a large-scale, high-value copper/tin/zinc/silver system,” said CEO Paul Barrett.

“The geology is shaping up as we had hoped – with copper and zinc dominant near surface and tin strengthening at depth – confirming the zonation model we are targeting.”

Barrett emphasized that the maiden resource estimate marks the company’s first formal step in defining the scale and value of the Bisie North project, with more updates to follow as deeper drilling results are analysed.
