The natural resources sectors contributed to the public treasury to the tune of 544.381 million USD in respect of duties, taxes and levies collected on the exploitation of mines, hydrocarbons and forestry, during the first two quarters of 2020, says a report of the Ministry of Finance published as part of the government’s commitment to transparency in the management of the Res Publica.

In the first quarter of 2020, the revenue collected was in the order of 237.843 million USD compared to 306.537 million USD for the second quarter of 2020.

In detail, during the first two quarters of the year, mines contributed to the Public Treasury with 482.111 million USD against 60.021 million USD for hydrocarbons and 2.248 million USD for forests.

This publication by the Ministry of Finance on quarterly revenues from the natural resource sectors, the first since the start of the year, is the 37th since the government of the DRC committed to transparency in the management of revenues from natural resources. natural resources.
