Additionally, Personnel Contributing Countries to the SADC Mission in Mozambique (SADC) and the SADC Mission in the DRC are participating in the meeting.
The primary agenda of the summit is to receive updates on the progress of the SADC missions deployed to support the governments of the DRC and Mozambique.
These missions aim to restore peace, security, stability, and facilitate sustainable development within the sub-region.
Before the summit, there were preliminary meetings involving military experts and SADC ministers to lay the groundwork for discussions.
Among the delegates in attendance from the DRC are VPM Jean-Pierre Bemba (Minister of Defence), Christophe Lutundula (Minister of Foreign Affairs), High Representative Serge Tshibangu, FARDC Chief of General Staff Army General Christian Tshiwewe, and other experts.
