Jubilee Metals Reports Strong Copper Output Growth as Zambia Expansion Gains Momentum

Jubilee Metals Boosts Copper Production by 29% Amid Roan Ramp-Up and Molefe Mine Expansion

Zambia-focused copper producer and resource developer Jubilee Metals has reported a 28.7% year-on-year increase in total saleable copper production, reaching 2,177 tonnes for the nine months ended March 31.

Output from the Roan concentrator surged to 1,999 tonnes of copper units, marking a 112.7% increase compared with the same period last year.

At the Sable refinery, copper cathode production rose to 957 tonnes, up from 751 tonnes recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.

Commissioning of the expanded Roan copper concentrate facility is nearing completion, with ramp-up of dewatered fine copper concentrate production underway in May.

The circuit is currently operating at approximately 75% of its targeted monthly production rate of 110 to 120 tonnes of contained copper.

Once fully operational, the dewatering circuit is expected to reach a design capacity of around 230 tonnes per month, enabling simultaneous processing of a 14,000-tonne historical stockpile alongside ongoing production.

At the Molefe mine, operations continue to scale up. During the reporting period, 250,162 tonnes of ore were mined, with 20,064 tonnes grading an average of 1.84% copper transported to the Sable refinery.

Implementation of the near-term mine plan is progressing, including an accelerated stripping programme to merge Pits 2 and 3 into a single open-pit operation, expected to be completed by July.

In April alone, more than 250,000 tonnes of pre-stripping material were removed, supporting plans to significantly increase run-of-mine copper deliveries to the Sable refinery once the programme is finalized.

Jubilee is currently reviewing its copper production guidance for the financial year ending June 30.

This follows updates to the Molefe mine plan after completion of Phase 1 drilling, which prompted an accelerated expansion of the open-pit operations.

Minor delays in commissioning the Roan dewatering circuit also contributed to a temporary lag in achieving an additional 110 tonnes of copper output.

The company expects to provide updated guidance in the coming weeks, pending confirmation of progress at the Molefe mine and the achievement of steady-state operations at the Roan facility.

CEO Leon Coetzer said the company is making solid progress in executing its Zambia copper strategy, with improved processing capacity and ongoing mine expansion strengthening its transition into a resource-backed producer.

Despite challenges such as heavy rains during the quarter, Jubilee remains focused on disciplined execution and scaling production.

The company continues to build a sustainable resource base while delivering near-term output growth, positioning itself for long-term expansion in copper production.
