ARSP: 121 Candidates Take Internal Recruitment Test for Inspector Positions

The Authority for Regulation of Public Procurement (ARSP) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has held an internal recruitment examination for inspector positions, with 121 candidates taking part in the selection process.

The exercise forms part of the institution’s efforts to strengthen its workforce and enhance its capacity to monitor and regulate public procurement activities across the country.

Recruitment targets inspection capacity

The recruitment process is aimed at identifying qualified personnel who can support the ARSP’s inspection and oversight functions.

Inspectors play an important role in monitoring compliance with public procurement rules, reviewing procurement processes and helping identify irregularities that could affect transparency and efficiency in the use of public resources.

The recruitment exercise therefore comes as the DRC continues efforts to strengthen governance and improve oversight of public procurement.

Candidates undergo competitive assessment

A total of 121 candidates participated in the internal recruitment test. The examination is intended to assess candidates’ technical knowledge, professional competence and understanding of the regulatory framework governing public procurement.

Successful candidates are expected to reinforce the ARSP’s inspection teams and contribute to more effective monitoring of procurement practices.

The initiative also reflects the importance of having adequately trained personnel capable of carrying out inspections and enforcing compliance with procurement regulations.

Strengthening public procurement oversight

For the ARSP, expanding its inspection capacity is part of a broader effort to improve the integrity and efficiency of public procurement in the DRC.

Effective inspection mechanisms can help ensure that public contracts are awarded and implemented in accordance with established procedures, while reducing the risk of irregularities and improving accountability.

The recruitment process is therefore expected to contribute to strengthening the institution’s operational capacity and supporting greater transparency in public procurement.

The outcome of the selection process will determine which candidates join the ARSP’s inspectorate and take on responsibilities in monitoring procurement activities across the DRC.
