The Industrialization Master Plan in DRC has been validated with the support of Congo Challenge
Finally, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has an Industrialization Master Plan. This document promoting the industrialization of the country was validated on Friday, March 26, 2021 in Kinshasa during a ceremony organized in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Julien Paluku, sectoral ministries, delegations of the Presidency of the Republic and the Prime Minister, as well as representatives of the Federation of Congo Businesses (FEC).
On this occasion, Michaël-Ange Lokota, Managing Director of Congo Challenge, which is the Think Tank that contributed to the development of this Industrialization Master Plan, spoke first to outline the document. As soon as an investor arrives in the DRC, this plan will allow him to know the priority, in which Industry to invest, in which zone to go in relation to the immediate needs of the country.
For his part, the Minister of Industry Julien Palu welcomed the work carried out by Congo Challenge, stressing that his ministry is working a lot on planning tools.
Recall that the Ministry of Industry had submitted the provisional report of the Industrialization Master Plan to Congo Challenge on February 19 to refine it. With this Plan, the industrialization plan of the DRC takes into account the 145 territories grouped into 6 industrial zones.
