In its compendium of statistical information published in January 2023, the Central Bank of Congo (BCC) indicated that the production of cobalt in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in 2022 stood at 111,309 tons. This production for 2022 is a marked increase compared to the year 2021 where the BCC figures indicate a production of around 93,144 tonnes.
