Tin Prices to Hit USD 25,430.00 per Tonne in DRC This Week
The general trend of mining products exported from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is downward during the period from August 28 to September 2, 2023 on international markets.
According to experts from the National Mercurial Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, only copper and silver should experience a slight price increase respectively to 8,269.60 USD against 8,232.45 USD per tonne a week earlier, i.e. a positive price difference of around 37.15 USD for copper and 0.75 USD against 0.74 USD per gram for silver ore.
In addition, tin and other mining products exported from the DRC are expected to experience a drop in market prices. Tin would be trading at USD 25,340 per tonne this week compared to USD 26,237 per tonne last week, down around USD 897.
Cobalt is also down slightly this week at 32,728 USD per tonne against 32,730 USD, a negative difference of around 2 USD.
Zinc, gold and tantalum also experienced a drop in price on international markets during the same period. These products trade respectively at 2,301.10 USD against 2,368.25 USD per ton; $61.31 versus $61.77 per gram and $299.80 versus $311.40 per kilogram.
