TAGE Idriver to develop autonomous haulage system where truck fleets will regulate speed based on mine, vehicle & market conditions

Chinese autonomous haulage technology major TAGE Idriver says the most common question it is asked in mining  is how fast the autonomous trucks can run. “Why do so many people pay attention to the speed of driverless mining trucks? Mining trucks running faster transport more ore, which can naturally bring more income to mining enterprises. But due to the uneven road surface of the mine, plus the ramps and curves, the higher the speed of the mining truck, the higher the fuel consumption, and the more potential damage to the… Read More Here

Sandvik adds data planner to drill and blast software

Swedish mining engineering company Sandvik has added a template-based drill and blast plan generation tool to the latest version of its underground rock excavation software. The latest iSURE, version 8.1, uses the new tool to better quantify rock blastability, tunnel profile quality target and explosives used, said the company. The “design wizard” functionality tool enables the selection of ready-made drilling templates for drill and blast plan creation. The planning option also gives rig operators the capability to easily edit results based on the feedback of the drill and blast process.… Read More Here
