Nicolas Kazadi delighted with the receipts achieved of 445 million USD in August- DRC
Nicolas Kazadi presented Friday to the Council of Ministers the state treasury situation for the month of August 2021. In terms of revenue, 891.6 billion CDF were collected over the period, or 445 million USD.
“Which is exceptional for this month of August, a month which has always recorded the weakest results in previous years”, said the Minister of Finance.
Compared to the budget allocations for the month of August 2021, an achievement rate of 129% emerged. He explains this performance by consolidating the momentum for increased revenue mobilization.
According to statistics commented on by the Minister of Finance, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) achieved 115% of its budget allocations estimated at CDF 336.8 billion. The General Directorate of Customs and Excise (DGDA) reached 160% of its monthly assignments, which stood at 224.5 billion CDF. And the General Directorate of Administrative, Judicial, State and Participations Revenue (DGRAD), for its part, achieved an achievement rate of 145% on its assignments of CDF 149.6 billion.
Prime Minister Sama Lukonde chaired the first meeting of the National Economic Troika
To maintain these efforts, Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, established the meeting of the economic troika. The objective is to closely monitor the real economic parameters, namely, the Budget Commitment Plan (PEB), the Treasury Plan (PTR) and the availability of liquidity at the Central Bank of Congo.
The Prime Minister chaired the first meeting on September 2. For this first meeting, Jean-Michel Sama wanted to reassure himself of the macroeconomic management balance between government spending and cash in accordance with the criteria of the agreement concluded with the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and the implementation of investment projects in the 145 territories of the DRC.
The Minister of State, Minister of Budget, Aimé Boji, the Minister of Finance, Nicolas Kazadi, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Congo, Malangu Kabedi Mbuyi, took part in this meeting which will be held every two weeks.
