SENIOR MINING ENGINEER | MINING CAREERS AT ERG, DRC
Primary Purpose
Reporting to Musonoi FEL2 and 3 Project Manager, the Senior Mining Engineer is responsible for leading all mining studies and work to provide strategic and operational expertise to the Musonoi River/Tailings FEL studies. This is a technical function including planning and coordinating with internal and external consultants
to define Long Term Strategic mine plan for the Musonoi Resource based on the inputs from various studies and data sources (AMC studies, CoPE study, Hydro study, geotechnical study, and all geological data) from Musonoi to achieve the highest NPV and financial returns. This will include mining method selection as well as
equipment matching for the mining of the Musonoi river. Additionally, the Senior Mining Engineer shall provide day-to-day management of contractors and consultants including performance management and reporting. Will act as HOD when the incumbent is on leave.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Mining Engineering
• River and Tailing mining experience highly appreciated
• 5-10 years of experience in River and Tailing mining, open pit production, mine engineering and mine
planning
