The world prices of the main raw materials exported by the Democratic Republic of Congo remain at remunerative levels driven by world demand, informs the Central Bank of Congo (BCC).

Illustrating the upward trend of these products in its weekly information note on the country’s economic situation, the BCC indicated that on February 3, world prices for a tonne of cobalt stood at 75,055.17. U.S. dollars.

For this period, the ton of copper sells for 9875.0 US dollars on this same market.

This improvement in the world prices of raw materials exported largely from the Democratic Republic of Congo should do business for the Congolese Government through its mining companies but also private companies based on Congolese soil.

It should be noted that three weeks ago, Cobalt was trading at 69,921.00 US dollars on the international market, according to data published by experts from the Ministry of Foreign Trade, while the ton of Copper was trading at $9,689.25.
