Market: cobalt prances at more than 81,600 USD per ton (Mercuriales)

Despite some recorded price decline, the general trend of the DRC’s main mining export products is upwards during this week from March 21 to 26, 2022, according to forecasts by experts from the Ministry’s National Mercurial Commission. of Foreign Trade.

Cobalt is showing an uptrend. It is trading this week around 81,690.00 USD per ton against 78,277.50 USD per ton last week, i.e. a price increase of 3,412.5 USD.

The other mining product on the rise is gold, which is selling on the international market at 64.70 USD per gram against 64.29 USD per gram last week, generating a positive price difference of 0.41 USD.

Tantalum is also showing an uptrend. It is trading at 364.00 USD per Kg against 343.00 USD per Kg last week, a positive price difference of 21 USD.

As for copper, it is low this week but its price remains profitable for mining producers in the DRC. The ton of copper is trading this week at 10,017.80 USD against 10,529.00 USD per ton last week, a drop of 511.2 USD.

Similarly, zinc is down this week at 3,833.00 USD per tonne against 4,087.15 USD per tonne last week, a negative price difference of 254.15 USD.

Tin also shows a downward trend at 43,260.00 USD per ton against 48,534.50 USD per ton the previous week, a negative price difference of 5,274.5 USD.

Silver remains stable at USD 0.84 per gram.
