Job description:

PURPOSE
To safely handle products being received or dispatched by stores. They are responsible for receiving, handling and packing goods maintenance and installation of carpenter works on the mine site according to prescribed standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

  • Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
  • Receive, unload, and shelve supplies
  • Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, and labelling supplies
  • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to Main warehouse for reimbursements and record keeping
  • Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
  • Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
  • Any other duties as directed by the direct Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate
  • Craft certificate in any engineering relevant field
  • Knowledge of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping with mining experience.
  • Valid Driver’s license

EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
  • Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment
  • Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Data entry and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
  • Skills to operate common office equipment
  • 2+ years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping
  • Valid driver’s license
