The DRC mining industry produced 1.9 million tonnes of copper at the end of October 2022
Mining companies in the Democratic Republic of Congo produced a volume of 1 million 966,957 tonnes of copper during the first 10 months of this year 2022 against 1 million 443,061 tonnes in the same period in 2021, i.e. an increase in production more of 500 tonnes of copper, according to data provided by the Central Bank of Congo in its Summary of statistical information for the month of November 2022.
Recall that over the whole of 2021, the Democratic Republic of the Congo had produced a total of 1 million 797,836 tonnes of copper.
On the international market, a ton of copper is currently trading around 7,800 USD.
