EU and Ministry of Energy Collaborate on clean Energy access via Global Gateway Strategy

Through the EU Global Gateway Strategy, the EU and the Ministry of Energy are making progress towards increasing access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy.

On 23rd February 2023, the Rural Electrification Authority (REA) through the IAEREP-TA2 project launched the Capacity Building Implementation Plan which is expected to directly benefit around 400 professionals through an EU investment of around EUR 300,000 (ZMW 6 million).

The Capacity Building Implementation Plan sets forth various training activities centered around; feasibility studies, technical know-how on mini-grid operation and maintenance, Public Private Partnership Training, Strategic Environmental Assessment and gender equality among others.
These will be delivered throughout the course of 2023, by local and international trainers.
