The DRC Mining Week event that was firstly slated for June 2020, later was moved to October 2020 has finally been moved to June 2021. Below is an emailed statement received from the organisers, Clarion Events Africa.
“Following a period of continuous engagement with our stakeholders and customers, and due to the status of the global COVID-19 pandemic and the extended state of emergency extended by the government of the DRC, Clarion Events Africa (formerly Spintelligent) has taken the decision to postpone DRC Mining Week.
The event, which was to take place from 7-9 October this year, has been moved to 15-17 June 2021, at the same venue, The Pullman Grand Karavia Hotel in Lubumbashi, DRC.
The health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors, employees and the wider public are of paramount importance to us.
Organised by Clarion Events, DRC Mining Week has been the platform of choice for the last 16 years for more than 5,000 local and international mining stakeholders and influencers from across the value chain.
“We will continue to engage the industry over digital formats, and the team and I are excited to travel back to territory when the opportunity allows,” says , David Ashdown, Managing Director of Clarion Event Africa.
The recent DRC Mining Week Digital that took place from 17-19 June 2020, gathered online 1500+ attendees who, during live webinar and matchmaking sessions, agreed on the rich resources the region is blessed with and the enormous business opportunities available.”
