We are looking for an experienced candidate for the position of Rubber Coatings Technician. This is a permanent position with a rotation of 4 days of work, 2 days of rest [BA1] and remuneration including an attractive salary and an incentive payment based on performance.
The Rubber Coatings Technician’s role is to safely perform maintenance work related to the rubber coatings at Kinsevere in accordance with MMG’s operating frameworks, maintenance programs and work instructions.
Key responsibilities
- Be safe at all times and promote awareness of SHEC practices
- Join the MMG process framework, particularly SAP processes (A2D), and key areas of interest;
- Document all the findings of the Maintenance Work Voucher
- Ensure that all events and hazards are accurately and timely and participate in workplace investigations or observations, if necessary.
- Complete Spot Hazard Analysis and ensure use for all tasks or follow standardized Operating Modes
- Maintaining excellent workplace standards
- Promote the culture of continuous improvement within teams and inform about identified opportunities
Skills
- To be able to read and write in French, English is an asset;
- Being able to work as a team or individually;
- Be able to work under pressure and perform well in the time frame provided for the task while respecting the company’s safety standards;
- To be able to listen and understand the information and ideas presented in a technical language.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of the principles and tools used for rubber or ceramic coating on pipes, tanks;
- Knowledge of the use of ceramics or epoxy and the standards applied to it;
Experience
- Have one year of experience in maintenance operations in a mineral processing environment;
- Have a year of experience in rubber or ceramic coatings or similar work.
Qualifications
- Equivalent of skilled worker in the appropriate discipline of a recognized institution[TM2]
- Valid driver’s license for light vehicles
