Traceability and certification of minerals are the basis of DRC’s revised Mining Code

The Minister of Mines, Willy Kitobo Samsoni, indicated that the traceability procedure and the certification of mineral deposits are one of the objectives set out in the revised Mining Code, as part of the media campaign to popularize the revised mining code that it started almost three months ago and continues to this day.

According to the communication unit of the said ministry, the Minister of Mines, the correct and complete application will allow the Government to achieve the targeted objectives.

“We will only achieve the objectives of the revision of the mining law when the revised mining code is applied correctly and fully. Said Minister Kitobo. 

And to specify that to facilitate its application, the legislator introduced important innovations relating to transparency, good governance, traceability and certification of deposits and minerals.
