Audit firm Deloitte Services SARL certifies the financial statements for the 2019 financial year of the Central bank.

The summary analysis of the annual accounts for the 2019 financial year shows that the balance sheet total stood at CDF 6,094,158 million against CDF 4,451,962 million at the end of December 2018, i.e. an increase of CDF 1,642,196 million.

And so, at the end of the 2019 financial year, the operating result of the Central Bank closed with a positive result of CDF 11,841 million (7.189 million USD at the average exchange rate of 1647 FC to the US dollar) against CDF 52,624 million in 2018, according to the BCC balance sheet.

“We have audited the annual financial statements of the Central Bank of Congo, including the Balance Sheet as at December 31, 2019, the Table of Cash Flows closed on that date as well as notes including the main accounting methods and other information. explanatory. In our opinion, the accompanying financial statements give, in all material respects, a true and fair view of the financial situation of the Central Bank of Congo as at December 31, 2019, as well as of its financial performance and cash flow for the year. los on that date in accordance with the accounting rules and principles accepted in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the legal provisions applicable to the Central Bank of Congo ”, notes the firm Deloitte Services SARL, giving its general opinion on these financial statements.

These results for the 2019 financial year are due to the following combined effects: On the assets side, the increase in assets and receivables in foreign currencies excluding SDRs, assets and receivables in SDRs and other assets, which respectively indicate an increase in CDF 976,162 million (58.5%), CDF 59,887 million (209.0%) and the reduction in currency assets and claims of CDF 16,240 million (1.3%).

And on the liabilities side, the increase in commitments in national currency of CDF 565,524 million (22.4%), in commitments in foreign currency excluding SDRs of CDF 81,946 million (67.3%), in commitments in SDRs of CDF 517 370 million (37.6%) and other liabilities of CDF 522,946 million (825.1%); the reduction in provisions for risks and charges as well as the result for the year of CDF 4,806 million (6.6%) and CDF 40,783 million (77.5%) respectively.
