Fortuna Silver Mines produces 1,750 kg of gold in Q1-2024

Fortuna Silver, a Canadian mining powerhouse, is reshaping the mining landscape in West Africa with its Séguéla and Yaramoko gold mines in Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso, respectively.

Together, these mines produced 61,733 ounces (1750 kg) of gold in the first quarter of the current year, marking a significant 49% increase from the previous year.

In Ivory Coast, Fortuna Silver owns 90% of the Séguéla gold mine, with the Ivorian Government holding the remaining 10%. This ownership structure has enabled the company to generate robust cash flow and intensify its exploration efforts in the region.

Similarly, in Burkina Faso, Fortuna Silver holds a 90% stake in the Yaramoko gold mine, with the Burkinabè Government owning the remaining 10%. The Yaramoko mine produced 117,711 ounces of gold in 2023.

With sustained performance and growth prospects, Fortuna Silver aims to significantly increase its gold production in 2024. The company projects to produce between 343,000 and 385,000 ounces of gold, with contributions from both the Séguéla and Yaramoko mines in West Africa expected to be substantial.
