ARSP and FEC Resolve Subcontracting Contract Disputes
The Minister of Entrepreneurship and SMEs, Désiré N’zinga, recently convened a productive session with Miguel Kashal Katemb, Director General of the Regulatory Authority for Subcontracting in the Private Sector (ARSP), and Robert Malumba Kalombo, the national president of the Federation of Congolese Enterprises (FEC).
The meeting aimed to address divergences between the two entities concerning subcontractor recommendations for contracts within various sectors.
Following the discussions, FEC’s president confirmed that the parties had reached consensus on the key issues that previously divided them.
“There were discrepancies between our structures, the ARSP and the FEC, and our experts worked to resolve them. We have now reconciled our differences,” stated the FEC president.
Miguel Kashal, CEO of the ARSP, underscored the importance of collaboration with partners like FEC to fulfill the authority’s objectives.
“Our country has faced economic challenges, and the President is committed to addressing them. We are aligned with the national vision to promote entrepreneurship and the development of the Congolese value chain,” Kashal emphasized.
Responding to the government’s directive, Minister Désiré M’zinga conducted an assessment of the collaboration between FEC and ARSP, reflecting the government’s commitment to fostering cooperation for economic advancement.
