Tanzanians Encouraged to Invest in the Mining Sector

As the clock ticks closer to the Third Forum on the Implementation of Tanzanian Participation in the Mining Sector, scheduled to kick off on May 22, 2024, Engineer Yahya Samamba, Executive Secretary of the Mining Commission, has emphasized the critical importance of capitalizing on investment opportunities within the Mining Sector.

With Tanzania’s mining industry poised as a cornerstone of economic development, Engineer Samamba underscored its potential to significantly bolster the national economy through job creation and increased tax revenue.

As Tanzanians eagerly anticipate the upcoming forum, set to take place at the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC), Engineer Samamba urged active participation from all stakeholders.

“I encourage everyone to attend the forum in large numbers to discover and seize the opportunities available in the mining sector,” emphasized Engineer Samamba.

With the Minister of Minerals, Honorable Anthony Mavunde, gracing the event as the guest of honor, the forum aims to enlighten participants on various facets of the Mining Sector and how to navigate the landscape to access these opportunities effectively. The overarching objective is to propel further growth and augment the sector’s contribution to the National Income.

“We are committed to ensuring that Tanzanians identify and seize these opportunities while understanding the Government’s objectives. There are many opportunities, but without proper promotion, they remain unknown,” reiterated Engineer Samamba.

In a nation rich with mineral resources, the forum serves as a pivotal platform for stakeholders to converge, exchange insights, and forge pathways towards sustainable mining practices and inclusive economic development.

As Tanzania charts its course towards prosperity, active engagement and informed decision-making within the mining sector will undoubtedly pave the way for a brighter future for all Tanzanians.
