Metso Outotec wins €10M conveyor order
Finnish mining engineering company Metso Outotec has secured a €10 million (US$11.9 million) order for a heavy-duty 9,000 ton per hour mine conveyor system for an unspecified project in South America.
Metso Outotec said the order includes overland conveyors, with one 2-km section to be a single flight conveyor.
The equipment provided in this package runs at speeds of up to 6 m/s with a delivery capacity of over 9,000 t/h.

Martins noted that the system includes in Energy Saving Idlers (ESI) which important power savings, as well as “reduced belt tension, and extended rollers life, enabling a reduced maintenance cost over the equipment life and a more sustainable operation”.
