Statistical data from the Technical Cell for Coordination and Mining Planning (CTCPM), published during this month, indicate that tin products, namely cassiterite, coltan and wolframite, commonly known as 3T (Tin, Tantalum and Tungsten ), come from the Eastern Provinces of the Republic, specifically Maniema, North Kivu, South Kivu, Haut-Katanga, Haut-Lomami, Lualaba and Tanganyika. According to figures from the CTCPM, the total production of cassiterite is 19,532.55 tonnes and is distributed as follows: – 12,622.37 tons of industrial exploitation; – 6,910.18 tonnes of artisanal mining.
