Metso Outotec to close over half its warehouses

Finnish mining engineering group Metso Outotec has plans to close more than half its warehouse locations for spare and wear parts as part of an “consolidation” targeting efficiency and environmental gains. Metso Outotec’s network of 40 distribution centres will be reduced to 18 as part of an “optimised” new distribution model that aims to increase availability, improve customer service and decrease CO2 emissions, said the firm.
