DRC: mining companies produced 104,920 tons of cobalt at the end of November 2022 (report)
Cobalt production in the Democratic Republic of Congo is increasing significantly during the year 2022.
According to the recent digest of statistical information published by the Central Bank of Congo (BCC), mining companies based in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) produced 104,920 tons of cobalt at the end of November 2022.
During the same period last year (2021), the total volume of cobalt production by Congolese mining companies was around 84,442 tons, which is 20,478 tons less than the production of the year. In progress.
BCC statistical data indicates that the production of cobalt at Gécamines stood at 18,844 tonnes against 13,971 tonnes during the same period in 2021.
The partner companies of GCM & others produced 86,077 tons of cobalt at the end of November 2022 against 70,471 tons during the same period of the previous year.
For the whole of 2021, the Democratic Republic of Congo produced 93,011 tons of cobalt, which is less than the production at the end of November 2022.
