Thiess awarded Mantos Blancos haulage contract in Chile

CIMIC’s global mining services provider, Thiess, has been awarded a mining services contract with Mantos Copper S.A. at their Mantos Blancos mine, located northeast of Antofagasta, Chile.  Thiess will undertake load and haul services, including fleet maintenance, to move low-grade copper ore at the Mantos Copper SA operation, which produces around 50,000 tonnes of fine copper a year. Toyota sees further recovery in global car production in August

Toyota Motor Corp  will make 2% fewer vehicles worldwide in August than originally planned, the Japanese automaker said on Tuesday as production is gradually recovering from a steep decline due to the coronavirus pandemic. The company said it aimed to make 15,000 fewer vehicles than its initial plan, which was around 750,000, according to Reuters’ calculations.
