DRC Ministry of Mines Revokes Multiple Mining Titles for Non-Compliance
DRC Mining Ministry Cancels Licenses of Companies Failing to Meet Legal and Financial Obligations
The Ministry of Mines of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, through its Mining Cadastre (CAMI), has revoked several mining titles that were issued and notified in 2026 due to non-compliance with legal obligations.
According to an official statement, the cancellations were prompted primarily by the failure of certain titleholders to pay annual surface fees, as required under existing mining regulations.
The move reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring transparency and responsible management of the country’s mineral sector.
The affected companies include:
- AVZ Minerals Congo Sarlu
- Congo Chekina Sarl
- Compagnie de Services Multiples
- Coopérative Grand Katanga pour le Développement Sarl
- J2M Sarl
- Katanga Technique Trading
- Kisengo Morning
- Maslo Sarl
- Pilar DRC Mining Sarlu
- Société Commerciale Asie-Afrique Mine
- Sycamore Investments
- ZHI Peng Mining Sarl
Louis Watum Kabamba, the Minister of Mines, emphasized that all mining operators must strictly adhere to their contractual and legal obligations.
He stressed that compliance is essential for transparent, sustainable, and accountable management of the DRC’s mining resources.
The revocation of these titles serves as a clear signal that the government is enforcing regulatory standards and maintaining oversight to protect the integrity of the sector.
