Vedanta sells 11.8% CopperTech stake to fund $372m expansion of Zambia’s Konkola Copper Mines UK-based Vedanta Resources is restructuring part of its asset portfolio to raise capital for expansion of its copper operations in Zambia, as global demand for the metal continues to strengthen. The company has announced plans to sell 11.8%, or approximately 23.5 million shares, in its US-based subsidiary CopperTech Metals Inc.
